Retaining its position for three years in a row, Atherton, California, topped our list of wealthiest cities in the U.S.  The city, which is located just outside of San Francisco, has a total population of 6,995 in 2011. 

Among some of its wealthy residents which include “Sheryl Sandberg” and Google CEO “Eric Schmidt”. It also boasts of some of the top tech executives residing in the city.  The city is an epic center for the top Silicon Valley companies headquarters (Facebook, Google, Tesla, etc.)
